Job description

As an HR Business Partner at Wygwam, you are the driving force behind initiatives in recruitment, performance, talent development, and wellbeing. You combine a practical approach with the ability to think and act strategically and tactically in line with the business's needs. Furthermore, you maintain sustainable relationships with trade unions and possess a strong personality capable of convincing others and guiding them through change. You contribute to, steer, and oversee the rollout and implementation of the HR strategy, policies, plans, and processes for the involved departments, ensuring their adoption. You are responsible for ensuring a qualitatively and quantitatively optimal workforce to achieve short and (medium) long-term objectives. You play a key role in achieving and facilitating the cultural transformation Wygwam aims for, with particular emphasis on developing an effective leadership culture.

Your responsibilities

Operational:

  • As an HR Business Partner, you act as the point of contact for both managers and employees for the departments you support.
  • Through your frequent presence in the departments, you ensure accessible and approachable HR support.
  • You support managers in guiding and monitoring their employees and act as a mediator when necessary.
  • You are involved in retention, absenteeism, and exit interviews, performance dossiers, conflict resolution, etc.
  • You are the point of contact for managers regarding change processes and contribute to the communication and implementation of these projects.
  • You support managers in developing leadership and people management skills.

Strategic:

  • You work closely with colleagues within the HR expertise domains and are jointly responsible for the implementation of HR policies, initiatives, and projects.
  • You identify the needs and requirements of our business and provide strategic advice accordingly.
  • You act as a sparring partner in the strategic decisions made within the departments that impact our employees.
  • You contribute to maximum HR efficiency and play an active role in evaluating and optimizing the employee experience.
  • You collaborate with department heads to develop an approach to achieve business ambitions.

Profile

  • You hold a master's degree in Economics, Psychology, or HR, or have equivalent experience.
  • Additionally, you have at least 10 years of experience in HR, with at least 5 years in a similar, generalist role with significant responsibility and a focus on soft HR.
  • You are familiar with various digital and HRIS tools. You have in-depth knowledge of HR processes within the employee life cycle and are up-to-date with current social and labor legislation.
  • Maturity, a hands-on mentality, and service orientation characterize you.
  • Accuracy, analytical thinking, and a talent for planning and organization are among your strengths.
  • You are an excellent communicator and team player who enjoys sharing knowledge with colleagues.
  • Flexibility comes naturally to you, including traveling to different business units and workstations as needed.
