The Role

As a Senior Accountant, you are the financial anchor within our organization. You take final responsibility for the complete accounting of multiple entities, both in Belgium and internationally. Through your expertise and hands-on approach, you contribute directly to the financial health and growth of Wygwam. You will work closely with the CFO and act as a key figure in optimizing financial processes.

What will you do?

• General Ledger Management: Manage the full general accounting for multiple entities within Wygwam, both in Belgium and internationally.
• Closing & Reporting: Execute monthly, quarterly, and yearly closings and reporting within strict deadlines.
• Reconciliations: Perform quarterly balance sheet reconciliations.
• Compliance: Ensure compliance with legal obligations and follow up on direct and indirect tax declarations.
• Year-End: Draft the annual accounts and prepare the tax file.
• Audit: Prepare audit documents and act as the primary point of contact for our auditor.
• Analysis: Collaborate closely with the controlling department and prepare ad hoc analyses.
• Mentorship: Support and advise your accounting colleagues within the team.
• Credit Control: Take responsibility for credit control for the entire international organization, acting as the primary contact for sales managers.
• Optimization: Play a key role in financial process optimization projects and monitor changes in legislation.
• Key User: Act as the key user for specific software applications.

• You hold a Bachelor’s degree in Accountancy or Accountancy-Tax.
• You have at least 7 years of experience in accounting or audit.
• You possess solid and up-to-date knowledge of relevant legislation.
• You have strong organizational skills and a talent for precision.
• You handle stress well and thrive under strict deadlines.
• You are analytical, hands-on, and eager to learn.
• You are reliable and a true team player.
• You possess strong communication and social skills.
• You have extensive knowledge of Excel and SAP.
• You are fluent in Dutch and can express yourself fluently in English.
